This policy only applies to data collected by Doddington Therapy via our own forms and website. Third party agents, and websites which are linked to ours, are not covered by this policy. When you request counselling with Doddington Therapy, you will be asked to consent to our processing of your data under the terms of this policy.

The information we collect:

Doddington Therapy receives, collects and stores any information you enter on our website or provide to us in any other way. In addition, we collect the internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet. We may use software tools to measure and collect information about your time on our website, including page response times, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information, and methods used to browse away from the page.

When you conduct a transaction on our website, as part of the process, we collect personal information you give us such as your name, address, contact number and email address. Your personal information will be used for the specific reasons stated in this policy only.

Why do we collect this information?

We collect such non-personal and personal information for the following purposes:

  • To provide and operate our counselling services;

  • To provide our clients with ongoing customer assistance and technical support;

  • To be able to contact our visitors and clients with general or personalised service-related notices and promotional messages;

  • To create aggregated statistical data and other aggregated and/or inferred non-personal information, which we or our business partners may use to provide and improve our respective services; 

  • To comply with any applicable laws and regulations.

How do we store, use, share and disclose site visitors' personal information?

Our company is hosted on the SquareSpace platform. SquareSpace provides us with the online platform that allows us to offer our services to you. Your data may be stored through SquareSpace’s data storage, databases and general applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall. 

Doddington Therapy uses gmail when responding to website enquiries. Gmail encrypts messages in transit (using TLS Transport Layer Security). TLS means that emails cannot be accessed by third parties in transfer. If your email provider does not use TLS, the information you include in your email may not be secure so please consider your own privacy protocols.

Google servers are based in the US and this means your email address and IP address may go outside the EEA. Gmail (as part of Google) is covered by the US Privacy Shield, which is a level of approved security to pass information from UK to the US. 

How do we communicate with you through the website?

We may contact you to notify you about account information, to troubleshoot problems with your account, to resolve a dispute, to arrange an appointment, to collect fees or monies owed, to poll your opinions through surveys or questionnaires, to ask you for information or feedback, to send updates about Doddington Therapy, or as otherwise necessary to contact you to enforce applicable national laws, and any agreement we may have with you. For these purposes we may contact you via email, telephone, text messages, and postal mail.

The use of cookies
